Community fundraising underway

Construction and maintenance of the Kalamazoo River Valley Trail is the result of a partnership between government and community residents and businesses. A total of $18,605,000 is needed to develop the Kalamazoo River Valley Trail and create a $2 million endowment for its future maintenance. Of that amount 53 percent has or will come from state, federal and local government units. The remaining 47 percent has been or will be donated by individuals, businesses and foundations in our community.
